Join one of our three walking tours in Dilijan to experience the distinctive history and culture of this ancient city that was once a stop on the Silk Road. Situated 1,258 meters above sea level—with fresh air, mineral waters, and breathtaking scenery—Dilijan has been a health resort for centuries.

1) The Dilijan Walking Tour takes you through the old city, with visits to the Local Lore Museum and Art Gallery and other important cultural sites. You will hear stories about the region from local residents and enjoy the tastes of traditional Armenian cuisine.

2) The Soviet and Post-Soviet Tour recounts how the Soviet Union affected daily life in Dilijan and how it continues to influence the city today. Examples of Soviet architecture, including several important monuments, are vivid reminders of this past.

3) The Culture of Dilijan Tour focuses on the local legends and traditions that help to define the intangible cultural heritage of both city and region.

All tours are led by local youths who know Dilijan intimately. They will introduce their hometown and share their experiences of the city and its surroundings.
