Hay Buys Festival

06/30/2018

Celebrated since 2015, the Hay Buys (Armenia Herb) festival seeks to raise awareness about the great variety of Armenian herbs, introduce different methods of their use, and show their usefulness and healing properties. The festival is held in the Apaga resort, which is located in Yenokavan, in the Tavush region. The festival includes master classes, where participants learn how to make bags of different herbs and seeds, dolls, baskets and shoes. At the same time, there is a tea party, educational games on forest biodiversity, as well as the trading of various souvenirs, ecologically clean products, vegetables, master classes of cooking and other activities for children.

At the festival a 20-meter long lavash brduch (wrap) of peace with Armenian herbs and various cheeses is prepared. The festival is organized by Hay Buys Foundation and Tavush Municipality.

The Hay Buys Festival has been included the Association of Armenian Festivals since 2017.
