Vahe Mayilyan combines his intimate knowledge of woodcarving with his longstanding love of nature to offer an exciting variety of workshops and hiking tours that demonstrate the natural beauty and traditional culture of the mountains, forests, and villages surrounding Ijevan.

One option for visitors is an hour-long class on woodcarving, in Vahe's own workshop in the central square of Ijevan, to learn about the region's distinctive woodcarving traditions and even to try their own hand at carving a souvenir. Another option is an immersive hiking experience – either half or full day – where Vahe also demonstrates his woodcarving skills on pieces of wood and roots picked up along the way.
